BREAKING NEWS: Chinese Ambassador: Next Year, Cambodians Will Use Locally Produced Covid-19 Vaccine

PREY VENG: Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wintean has confirmed that Chinese vaccine maker Sinopharm is currently in talks with the Cambodian Ministry of Health to open a vaccine factory in Cambodia that next year Cambodians will be able to use the Covid 19 vaccine locally produced.

Speaking at the inauguration of National Road 11 connecting Prey Veng to Tbong Khmum, the Chinese Ambassador has said that Cambodia is a friend of China and China will help Cambodia to build socio-economic capacity as a vaccine manufacturer China is also in talks to open a factory in Cambodia.

He says, “Next year, Cambodians will be able to use vaccines made in Cambodia.

Prime Minister Hun Sen requested China to consider opening a Covid-19 vaccine factory in Cambodia to response to Covid-19 in Cambodia as well as export at the handover ceremony of Covid-19 vaccine from the People's Republic of China on 17 November.
